Two things that have come across our transom this week we wanted to share: 1) The Portsmouth (NH) Athenaeum has published an inaugural issue of its new e-journal for 2013, the Portsmouth Athenaeum Journal. The first issue contains four articles from participants in NEHA’s 2013 Spring meeting as well as an introduction from NEHA President, Dane Morrison. The NEHA Spring 2014 conference will be held at Springfield College in Springfield, MA on Saturday, April 26, 2014. NEHA invites papers on any historical topic, time period, or theme. Announcement: MA Historical Society Fellowships

The Massachusetts Historical Society will offer more than three dozen research fellowships for the academic year 2014-2015, including two MHS-NEH Long-term Fellowships made possible by an award from the National Endowment for the Humanities. Their stipend, governed by an NEH formula, will be $4,200 per month for a minimum of four months and a maximum of twelve months.
