RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP:
The Virginia Museum of History & Culture (VMHC) offers research fellowships of up to three weeks a year to promote the interpretation of Virginia and access to its collections. Thanks to a matching grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and generous gifts from individuals, fellowships carry a weekly stipend of $1,000 and $500 for local mileage. A week is defined as five days in the Mr. and Mrs. E. Claiborne Robins, Jr. Research Library, which is open 10am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 27, 2023. Application available: https://virginiahistory.org/research/research-resources/research-support. Contact information: Dr. James Brookes, Melanie Trent De Schutter Library Director, jbrookes@VirginiaHistory.org.

PUBLISHER'S CALL:
The New England Journal of History seeks articles and book reviews for upcoming issues; it is published twice yearly with submission deadlines January 15 and July 15. Please send submissions or inquiries to editor Linda Morse, editors@nejh.org.

PUBLISHER'S CALL:
The History Press is looking for local historians and writers who are interested in publishing accessible histories of the towns and communities of New England. The History Press is a traditional, full-service press that focuses exclusively on publishing works of local and regional interest. They publish a wide range of books from brief histories of a town to collections of folklore and essays on the local culture. A typical author has strong ties to their community, and they strive to make their local history more accessible.
For more information, contact Edward Mack (commissioning editor).
